As we were traveling on our way to Riga (Latvia) and getting both excited and nervous with anticipation, I was trying to prepare myself for what I knew would be some of the very best days of my life. And that is precisely what those precious few days were. We were welcomed into into the Lasmanis family with open arms and the adventure began. It was such an incredible experience- I still can't believe how connected we feel to family we have only interacted with for a few days. There is so much that can be said about the beauty of Latvia, but it was really the people that mattered the most. What memories were made! We cried and cried as we left, consoling ourselves with a sincere promise to return.
